Here are some basics of good packing.
Step 1 - Assess
- Consider the weight
- Are the contents fragile?
- What's the value of the content being shipped?
What are packing requirements based on transportation regulations?
Step 2 - Pack
- Use quality double wall boxes
- Ensure 6 cm distance between shipment content and all walls of the box
- Leave no empty space in the box
Step 3 - Seal
- Use packing tape at least 48 mm wide
- Use the H-taping method to seal all edges and seams
Step 4 - Label
- Write the name of the consignee, destination country, and postal code on the outside of the box in permanent marker.
- Write the BOB ticket number on the outside of the box in permanent marker.
